Virginia Heyburn: 200-Hour Faculty  


Virginia Heyburn is an RYT-500 who has been practicing yoga since 2006 and teaching since 2010. Virginia is also a successful corporate executive with nearly 20 years of leadership experience and is well-known as a speaker on the future of technology in banking and payments, delivering over 70 speeches a year to senior executive audiences. Virginia has been widely quoted in major news publications such as Forbes The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Fortune.


Virginia is a powerful communicator who inspires students and teachers to find their voice in their practice, their teaching and their lives. Combining her experience in senior leadership positions in successful corporations with deep knowledge of the millennia-old practice of yoga, Virginia infuses a physically challenging asana practice with spiritual cheer that is both inspiring and infectious. Virginia is grateful to Kino McGregor, Patrick Nolan, Nicolai Bachman, Paul Toliuszis and Kiersten Mooney for inspiring her to practice, teach, and live yoga.

Lizzett Chiappy: 200-Hour Faculty


Lizzett Chiappy Eskert, has been practicing yoga since June 2012 and teaching since June 2013. Lizzett is a 200 hour and 300 hour certified yoga instructor through Bala Vinyasa Yoga (now known as greenmonkey) and is E-RYT 200 hour certified through Yoga Alliance. Lizzett works with University of Miami football team, women’s and men’s track & field team, the women’s tennis team, and the women’s rowing team in injury prevention and muscle recovery. Lizzett is also a certified instructor through Polestar Pilates and the Pilates Method Alliance, as well as the Booty Barre, and Zumba, and is currently enrolled in the personal trainer course for the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Lizzett holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Administration from Florida State University, and an MBA from Florida International University, and, most recently, she has become a lululemon athletica ambassador.


Lizzett is a powerful teacher and leader who shares her passion for body awareness and movement in her classes. Lizzett urges her students to look deep within for courage and confidence as they explore the possibilities within their practice. No matter how challenging the class, Lizzett focuses on bringing a sense of lightness and fun to the classroom where students are encouraged to discover the balance between work and play. Lizzett also teaches Moving from the Core where students can focus on techniques within movement to improve their yoga practice.

Jacqueline Glasgow: 200-Hour and 300-Hour Faculty


Jacqueline Glasgow is an E-RYT 500. She is a Certified Yoga Therapist as well as a Certified Baptiste Yoga Instructor, a Certified Power Yoga Instructor and a Certified Yoga Life Coach. Jacqueline has been practicing yoga since 1990, teaching since 2007, and training yoga teachers since 2013.


Jacqueline is an entrepreneur and lover of life. She is a pastry chef, potter and jewelry artist. Her background in finance has given her the tools to create, build and sell successful businesses in the hospitality and yoga fields. With over 3,000 hours of training, Jacqueline feels fortunate to have learned from some of yoga’s best educators including Bryan Kest, Baron Baptiste, Doug Keller, Paul Grilley, Stephanie Keach and Nicholas Giacomini (MC Yogi). She has hosted yoga retreats, certified numerous 200-hour yoga teachers, and has enjoyed assisting Baron Baptiste in BPYI programs. Along with her yoga trainings, Jacqueline completed the Mastery in Transformational Training and Tony Robbins UPW. With all her training and achievements, Jacqueline credits her volunteer work with the MAKE A WISH Foundation to be her one of her highest accomplishments.


Jacqueline is a dynamic leader and passionate teacher who delivers a powerful practice infused with intelligence, compassion and love. She shares authentically from her heart and is committed to empowering her students to step into their greatness.

Luca Richards: 200-Hour Faculty and Director of Programs


Luca Richards is the Director of Programs and Program Development for greenmonkey in South Florida. He is an E-RYT-500 and a Certified Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga Teacher. Luca is trained in a number of fitness modalities including certifications in both classical and contemporary Pilates as both an instructor and teacher trainer. Luca enjoys and shares a yoga practice that is both physically challenging and inspiring with a message that is tangible and grounded. He invites all his students to step out of their comfort zones and into powerful new possibilities. He uses creativity and humor to bring a powerful lightness to both the body and spirit.


Luca teaches classes, workshops and conferences throughout the USA and internationally, including Yoga Journal Live, ECA Thrive Fitness Conference, One World Peace Day in Miami, The Holistic Holiday at Sea Cruise and at the White House in Washington DC with Michelle Obamas Let’s Move Campaign. Luca uses his love of yoga to offer service to the local and global community including his work with Africa Yoga Project in Nairobi, Kenya and Standout Yoga an organization he founded which supports at risk youth. Luca has been published in academic research on the efficacy of yoga in collaboration with greenmonkey and the University of Miami and with Florida International University.

Derek Waddy: 200-Hour Faculty and Manager of Teachers


Derek Waddy, Manager of Teachers at greenmonkey, is an E-RYT 200 Yoga Instructor. Derek has been a student of yoga since 2010. Derek is also a graduate of Towson University where he has a B.S in Public Relations and minored in Business Communication.


Derek has completed Art of Assisting, level 1, and level 2 training with the Baptiste Power Yoga institute. Derek completed his 200hr yoga teacher training with Sid McNairy and Derek has served as a lululemon Ambassador. Derek acknowledges Sid McNairy, Patty Ivey, and Alice Riccardi for their support and mentorship which has helped Derek evolve as teacher/leader. Derek is committed to sharing yoga and the profound impact it can have on lives.


Derek is a powerful teacher who shares his enthusiasm and love for yoga through a sweaty, challenging, fun, asana practice. As a teacher/leader Derek holds space for others to have an experience of themselves on the mat. Derek encourages others to step forward through challenges and into growth.

Debi Grilo: 200-Hour and 300-Hour Lead Facilitator & Program Development


Debi Grilo, ERYT 500, has been a leading force in the creation and building of South Florida’s yoga community since 1997. She is known as a “teacher of teachers” and is the Director of Development at greenmonkey® yoga, in Florida. Her depth of knowledge in traditional yoga asana and philosophy, combined with her understanding of how the body and mind work, make her classes and trainings a complete experience for any practitioner.


Debi began practicing yoga in 1986, teaching in 1997, and teaching teachers in 2007. Her teaching has been strongly influenced by alignment and vinyasa traditions, as well as her experience as a therapist and self-discovery coach. She is masterful at connecting to the energy in the room and creating an environment that transcends the physical and leaves the student with a connection to their greatest self.

Kim Clayton: 200-Hour Faculty and certified LMT


Kim Clayton, teacher and massage therapist at greenmonkey, is an E-RYT 200, RYT 500. She has been practicing yoga since 1998, teaching since 2012 and training teachers since 2014. Kim is a facilitator of the greenmonkey yoga teacher trainings as well as a licensed massage therapist. Kim is grateful for her work at greenmonkey, which has allowed her to be a powerful leader through the mentorship of Kiersten Mooney, Debi Grilo, & Luca Richards.


Kim’s lighthearted and peaceful attitude assist in creating connection in her classes and she is inspired every day by students’ transformations. Her work as a massage therapist gives her insight to the body, its movement, potential, and limitations, guiding students through a practice that is both safe and challenging and helping them explore their full potential. Kim teaches a variety of classes from gentle to power vinyasa and everything in between.

Jennifer G

Jennifer Gray: 200-Hour Faculty and Certified Health Coach


Jennifer Gray received her doctorate in physical therapy in 2008.  She has been practicing yoga since 2010 and completed her 200-hour teacher training in 2012.  She became a certified health coach in 2015. She also works full time as an acute care physical therapist and is excited to start private health coaching for the greenmonkey community.


Jennifer brings an extensive anatomical knowledge to her teaching and is able to modify asana postures around any injury or disability.  She believes yoga is for everyone and strives to create an environment of acceptance in her classes. She is upbeat, energetic, and always has a smile on her face!

Megan Eastman - 6

Megan Eastman: Manager of Teachers and 200-Hour Faculty


Megan Eastman is 200hr E-RYT and 500hr certified through greenmonkey yoga studio. She has been teaching since 2010 and became part of the yoga training facilitation team in 2014.


Megan has a bachelor’s in Interpersonal Communication. That education has carried over to the work she does through greenmonkey’s teacher trainings, of which she’s been on faculty for the last year, working in Naples and the Coral Gables location. She has trained and completed Baron Baptiste’s level one program, and is currently an ambassador for lululemon athletica.


Megan is a lighthearted, playful teacher who likes to explore what the human body is capable of through challenging sequences and space for inquiry. She is continually intrigued and experimenting with how students can create shifts and focus within their practice.

Kiersten Mooney: greenmonkey® Co-Founder and Director of Program Development


Kiersten Mooney is an E-RYT 500 and co-owner of greenmonkey. She has been in the health and wellness industry since 1992 and holds degrees from the University of Miami in both Sociology and Exercise Sports Science and Sports Medicine, as well as continued graduate studies in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition, with a specialization in sports-specific training.


Her continued relationship with her alma mater and professor, Joseph Signorile, PhD, became the catalyst for extensive yoga research projects since 2012, including studies in: muscle utilization patterns in poses, yoga prescriptive programs for falls prevention and Parkinson’s, as well as VO2Max and oxygen consumption. She is also in research collaboration with Florida International University to study the impact of yoga on youth with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and ADHD.


Aside from her revolutionary work in the science behind yoga, Kiersten also leads accredited yoga leadership and teacher trainings and has lectured all over the world, including Africa and Israel.


Kiersten’s teachings are infused with her experience as a researcher, entrepreneur, and pioneer in the yoga and well-being industry and her insight into humanity, resulting in concrete tools to bring depth to the understanding of the body, mind, and human spirit. She has a lighthearted perception guided by profound insight that empowers people in totality. Her love is to share what has inspired her and how people can make the greatest impact as teachers and leaders in their life.


Kiersten opened her first studio in 2008 and now has 5 locations across South Florida.  She is the creator of the greenmonkey method, 200hr and 300hr teacher trainings and prescriptive programs.  She is a frequent instructor at international conferences such as Yoga Journal Live, ECA and OMEGA. She is active with The Africa Yoga Project and is a lululemon Ambassador.  She sees her greatest accomplishment in creating powerful teams. Kiersten and her team are committed to service, partnering with local and global communities and non-profits such as the Africa Yoga Project, St. Matthew’s House, Botanical Garden, Yoga for Autism, Voices for Kids, The David Lawrence Center, Cancer Alliance of Naples and Be The Match Foundation, to name a few.
