The Green Monkey Yoga teacher training faculty is built on excellence, joy and community in yoga instruction. During the course, the teacher training faculty present an exciting series of 14 “Master Classes.” This gives students an in depth introduction into the broad range of yoga styles that are offered today. Many of these teachers started in the Green Monkey teacher training and their decades of combined experience will leave you with a deep and authentic understanding of yoga.

Jason Lawner, a dedicated student of yoga, is an Anusara teacher known for his passion,enthusiasm, and clarity. In his classes you can expect precise alignment instruction, uplifting Tantic philosophy, and an emphasis on the practical application of these yoga teachings to modern life.

amyAmy Steiner fell in love with yoga after years of competitive running and soccer took a toll on her body and she stumbled into a power yoga class. The freedom in body and mind kept her coming back to the mat and eventually led her to teaching. Amy is known for her fun personality and creative classes, combining thoughtful sequencing and dynamic flows to leave students feeling uplifted and inspired. Based in Miami Beach, Amy teaches regular classes and workshops at Green Monkey and The Standard. Amy has appeared on and Amy often travels for yoga events and takes yoga-cations with her man and fellow yogi, Mike.

Sharon Aluma stepped onto her mat as an Ashtangi over 10 years ago and became RYT certified in 2006. Formally trained in the fine arts, she has a strong sense of composition and form and instinctively created Organic Vinyasa Yoga. Organic Vinyasa Yoga is a fluid practice with creative sequencing, intelligent assists and non-dualistic yoga philosophy.

Amy Rabin took her first yoga class about 15 years ago and has been sharing her love for the practice ever since. Her classes offer a fun and challenging mix of cardiovascular, strengthening, stretching, toning and purifying asanas. Amy also is very knowledgeable about Ashtanga and has an impressive understanding of correct alignment and form.

Juliana Barerra has been a Yoga Practitioner for over 10 years and began teaching along the way. She started the path studying Ashtanga Yoga, transitioning to the free-style of PowerYoga, and evolving into the organic movement of the Yogic Arts, becoming a certified Yoga Alliance Teacher. Juliana deepened her studies by becoming a Pre-Natal Yoga Teacher, finding her true love. Life brought her to Motherhood and she feels grateful and blessed to be able share the experience.

paulaPaula Walker was introduced to yoga by one of her first teachers and over ten years later, yoga is truly the love of her life. With her competitive gymnastics background, Paula's classes focus on strong power yoga sequencing blended with fun inversions and arm balances. Her goal is to help students release stress, tension and move through fear in order to get upside down. When she's not in a handstand, Paula is the Director of Marketing & Sales at Green Monkey.

Peter Barber, a Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher, is a retired attorney and has been teaching yoga full time since 1996. He has trained extensively with many of the best known teachers in the United States and has been a student of John Friend and Anusara since 2000. His yoga class was named "Best in Miami" by the Miami New Times.

Joey Corona is a lifelong movement catalyst and movement motivator. Joey holds a Masters degree in Physical Education, and post grad certication in Golf Biomechanics and is a Black Belt in Shotokan Karate. As a 12 year yoga teacher he has attained the E-RYT status, the highest teaching credential of the Yoga Alliance.

courtneyCourtney Just Hoping to share her love of yoga with children, Courtney became a certified kids yoga instructor several years ago and has been teaching kids ever since.  In addition to her study of yoga, Courtney is training in the somatic movement art of the Alexander Technique and incorporates aspects of this technique into both her adult and children's classes.

Arbey Quiceno, a licensed massage therapist, fills his yoga classes with lots of hands-on adjustments. His enthusiasm and love of life shine through as he teaches. He has been teaching for more than ten years and never tires of infusing his classes and students with joy.

allaineAllaine Stricklen has been practicing Yoga for over 40 years, has studied with many incredible Teachers all over the world. Allaine is a certified Master Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance.  She blends her extensive knowledge of Iyengar, Pre-Natal, and Restorative Yoga into well rounded classes.  Allaine's mission is to help her Students recognize and release all patterns that do not serve a higher purpose.  Gentle Therapeutics Yoga offers traditional teachings, which address each person's individual needs.
